Equine-Assisted Therapy

The foundation of this horseback riding program is the “one-to-one” approach of one individual, one rider, and one leader (the instructor/handler).  In this program participants will be slowly and methodically taught to be comfortable caring for and riding horses, all at their own individual pace.  Participants will begin with basics of horsemanship, including learning proper horse etiquette, brushing and saddling.  These activities further the connection and strengthen the bond between horse and rider.  Following the mastery of these basic skills, the individual can move into more advanced riding.
